TySOM is a family of development boards that feature Xilinx Zynq all programmable modules, combining an FPGA and ARM Cortex Processor. Used by embedded designers for applications such as IOT, Automotive, Industrial automation and High Frequency Trading.


TySOM boards use either Zynq 7000 or Zynq UltraScale+ devices and include memories and various communication and multimedia interfaces. In addition to this, Aldec also offer a range of TySOM FMC and BPX daughter cards for peripheral expansion. Reference designs are provided for applications such as IoT, ADAS, 4K UltraHD imaging and Robotics, as well as a complete reference design containing the software (Linux) and hardware blocks required to support the peripherals.



TySOM-3-ZU7 is a compact prototyping board containing Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC device which provides 64-bit processor scalability while combining real-time control with soft and hard engines for graphics, video, waveform, and packet processing.

TySOM-2 is a compact prototyping board containing Zynq-7000 module. It is designed to assure maximum flexibility in selecting peripherals due to leveraging large Zynq chip package and providing two FMC-HPC connectors enabling use of expansion daughter cards. FMC-ADAS daughter card was designed to enable prototyping and evaluation of Automotive and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) designs with TySOM and HES boards. FMC-INTF card provides a good selection of commonly used peripherals like PCI Express, optical fibre QSFP+, Gigabit Ethernet, USB and more. FMC-IOT card provides a set of peripherals and interfaces commonly used in embedded designs of Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications.
