We are currently looking to expand our operations in both the UK and Europe and as a result have several openings:


Technical Applications Engineer (x1 opening)

Wage: Negotiable based on experience – basic + sales commission
Hours: Nominally 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: UK, Bracknell or France (home office)
Duration: Permanent
Details: Excellent communication skills are paramount, as is attention to detail and an enthusiastic and outgoing manner. We distribute and support software that is used by electronics engineers in companies big and small across Northern Europe. Continued success is driving growth and territory expansion. We are immediately adding France, Spain & Belgium to our territory and are putting a new sales team in place to cover. We are seeking a Technical Applications Engineer, with a background in digital ASIC/FPGA design, to support our customers across our wider territory. You will act as the key liaison between the customer and our sales team, assisting them through evaluations and supporting flow and methodology development. This role would suit an engineer keen to exercise their knowledge of design and verification on a wider stage whilst also gaining international customer-facing support and sales experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience working as an electronics engineer. Ideal candidate will have focussed on the design and verification of digital devices (ASIC/FPGA) using hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
  • A natural enthusiasm for problem solving, using your initiative and going the extra mile to provide enduring and scalable solutions
  • Good working knowledge of IT (Windows, Linux), development tools (e.g. Eclipse) and debug environments and methodologies
  • Previous technical marketing experience would also be a plus. Article and blog writing would be required, as would presenting at relevant technical events
  • Instinctive commitment to the highest levels of customer service
  • Meticulous and efficient work style
  • Excellent communication skills – oral & written
  • Take support calls, providing general assistance and guidance in addition to diagnosing more complex issues
  • Liaise closely with all key supplier contacts and manage bug logging / enhancement processes
  • Comfortable talking to customers on the phone and discussing their requirements, challenges and project goals
  • Develop and deliver training for web-based and onsite delivery
  • Travel required: mostly Europe – must have clean driving license and access to an appropriate vehicle
